Nurse Practitioner & Nurse Anesthetist Programs in Nebraska

Nurse practitioners and nurse anesthetists are both types of advance practice nurses. Advance practice nurses are registered nurses with advanced education and hold a minimum of a master’s degree. Nurse practitioners specialize in providing primary care and nurse anesthetists specialize in administering anesthesia and providing related care before, during and after a surgical procedure. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates a 22 percent employment growth for all registered nurses through 2018. Nebraska has several approved programs for nurse practitioners and nurse anesthetists.
