Boston College is a private university with Jesuit traditions. It is located just outside of Boston in Chestnut Hill. The college offers a fully accredited MSN program with multiple specialty programs including adult health nursing, family nursing, pediatric nursing and women's health. Northeastern University is a private research located in Boston. NU's nurse practitioner programs are fully accredited and lead to a master's degree in nursing. NU offers nurse practitioner programs in adult acute care, neonatal and pediatrics. In addition to the standard programs, NU also offers these program as accelerated programs for licensed RNs. UMASSB offers a fully accredited MSN program in the specialties of family nurse practitioner and adult-gerontological nurse practitioner. Both programs are 48 credits and takes about two years to complete.
