The University of South Florida offers an electronic campus to those students wanting to take courses online. In order to enroll in the online nurse-practitioner program, you must either currently be an RN with a Bachelors in Science, or have obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing. Upon enrollment acceptance, you may sign up for full or part-time online courses, that add up to a total of 76 credit hours. Some of the courses you will take include Theoretical Foundations, Pathophysiology for Advanced Practice, Pharmacology for Advanced Practice, Nursing Research, Health Assessment for Advanced Practice, and Occupational Health Nursing I and II, along with several other required courses. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be awarded with a Master of Science in Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Nurse Practitioner, as well as a Master of Public Health.

The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, a subsidiary of Florida Atlantic University offers graduates the ability to receive their Master of Science in Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner (OHNP) and Family Nurse Practioner (FNP). The complete curriculum requires completion of a total of 43 credit hours, with a minimum of 630 hours of required clinical practice, which can be arranged by the student in her own community, at her own preferred time. Upon completion and earned degree, Florida Atlantic University has a placement program to assist you in finding a job in either health department clinics, private practices, hospitals, correctional facilities, or other health-care settings. Graduates are also eligible to take the Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Examination, but is not required in the state of Florida.

Argosy University offers students the ability to earn their Master of Science in Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner through online courses and programs. Students must successfully complete 45 credit hours of curriculum study, and finish with no less than a 3.2 grade point average. The student must also submit a completed Petition to Graduate to the campus administration before the end of the program. Most students can complete this program in two years.
