A nonprofit Catholic institution, Notre Dame University--Louaize in Lebanon offers a course in computer games design. The course discusses the main components of designing computer games. It also allows students to use programming tools in their project design activities. Originally known as Louaize Center for Higher Education in 1978, it was reestablished by the Maronite Order of the Holy Virgin Mary as Notre Dame University--Louaize in 1987. NDU consists of seven faculties offering 73 undergraduate degrees as well as 19 graduate degrees. As of 2010, it is the only Catholic university in the Middle East to adopt the American education system.

Aiming to address the lack of skilled web specialists, the school of Bahrain Polytechnic came up with a bachelor's degree program in web media. This program rolls graphic design, business courses and technology into one, and prepares students for professions including game and web designing and web developing. Students are given the option to choose from its three majors: design, technology and management. Bahrain Polytechnic was formed by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Its establishment in 2008 was the king's attempt to meet the increasing need of skilled workers in Bahrain's labor force.

Located in Jordan's capital, Amman, German-Jordanian University (GJU) promises aspiring game designers a computer game design course under its Bachelor of Arts program in design and visual communication. The program lets students develop actual video games using the newest game programming languages. Components of computer video games such as game engines, graphics and animation in 2D and 3D and user interface are covered. GJU was established in 2005. It has seven faculties offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the fields of business and engineering, to name a few.
