Computer Gaming Colleges

Computer gaming has become big business, generating an estimated $15 billion in the United States alone in 2009, according to the NPD Group. Salaries for entry-level video game animators average $40,000 a year and first-time programmers can start at $50,000. A number of colleges and technical schools offer courses or full degrees aimed at developing the specialized skills needed to create games.
