    • Grand Valley State University offers a 41-credit Master of Science in Nursing Degree through the Kirkhof School of Nursing. The university also offers a 40-credit, 400 clinical-hour Doctor of Nursing Practice for students holding a Master of Science in Nursing degree, and a 90-credit, 1,000 clinical-hour program for students with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Courses for the master's and doctorate programs are held at the Cook-DeVos center in downtown Grand Rapids.

    University of Michigan-Flint

    • University of Michigan-Flint offers a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree taught online, with clinical hours arranged in each student’s local area. The 81-credit program is designed to be completed over four years of part-time study. Eligible applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or be a licensed Registered Nurse with a degree in another area. The university also offers a 33-credit program exclusively for students holding master’s degrees in nursing.

    • Wayne State University offers a Master of Science in Nursing that prepares students to practice as nurse practitioners or certified nurse specialists. Qualified applicants must be Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The 37-to-47-credit program must be completed within six years, and offers specializations in women's health, gerontology, nurse-midwifery, psychiatric mental health, acute and critical care, community health, adult primary care and pediatric and neonatal nursing.
