The University of Arkansas at Monticello, located one hour and 30 minutes away from Eudora, offers a LPN to RN transition program that takes approximately two years to complete. An LPN to bachelor's in nursing (BSN) program is also available for nurses looking to complete an undergraduate degree in nursing. Nurses enrolled in the LPN to RN program will take classes in nursing transition, basic nursing skills and principles of nursing care.

The school offers a fast-track program for LPNs to take the necessary coursework that will prepare them to take the exam to become an RN. The program takes approximately two years to complete and includes classes in health assessment, pharmacology for nurses and nursing care, as well as electives in pediatrics, mental health and more.
