An LPN to RN program is an accelerated course of study for licensed practical nurses to become registered nurses. The program is designed to build on nursing knowledge that LPNs already have, thus making the program shorter for them by testing out of certain classes. Students must first complete a series of nursing bridge courses that consist of a lecture class, skills class and a clinical class. The nursing program includes coursework in Transition from Vocational to Professional Nursing, Integrated Client Care Management, General Microbiology and Care of Client with Complex Health Needs.
