Bluegrass Community & Technical College is a public community college located in Lexington, Kentucky. BCTC offers a fully accredited LPN to RN program that allows licensed practical nurses to bypass nine to 15 credit hours of RN classes. With the bridge program, students only need 22 to 28 credit hours of nursing classes (or about two to three semesters) to graduate, not including any required general education classes. Graduates of this program are awarded an associate in science degree in nursing. Classes in this program include Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Microbiology, Developmental Psychology and Nursing 1 through 5, which are the core nursing classes.
