Students who are interested in studying courses related to the medical field go to Europe for their education.   1. Medical University of Sofia

    • The Medical University of Sofia opened in 1917. The school is the oldest university for medical programs in Bulgaria. They offer master's, bachelor's and professional programs. The university has four schools in the medical field for medicine, dental medicine, pharmacy and public health. Students who are not able to attend in-school classes may enroll in distance learning classes.

    Saratov State Medical University

    • The Saratov State Medical University opened in 1909. It is one of the oldest schools in Russia. Graduate programs available in the field of medicine include general medicine, pediatric, dentistry, public health and nurse aid. The duration for these programs is from four to six years. The university also offers post-graduate education for different specialties including medicine, surgery, skin and pathological anatomy, forensic medicine, oncology, exercise medicine and many more. Classes are in the Russian or English language. The requirements for admission are a completed application form, student contract, certificate of qualification and a health certificate.

    Vinnitsa National Medical University

    • Vinnitsa National Medical University opened in 1921. Students who wish to pursue higher education in various fields of medicine can enroll in the university. The four faculties in the university include medicine, dentistry, medical psychology and pharmacy. The school also provides a department for foreign students. Majors available are general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, pharmacy and clinical pharmacy. The school also offers 53 specialties for students who want to go into post-graduate training. Some of these are pediatrics, ophthalmology, surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, urology and many more.
