North Carolina LPN to RN Programs

Registered nurses, or RNs, are highly skilled nurses that treat and take care of patients in a wide variety of health care settings. According to Salary.com, an RN's annual median income is about $62,700 as of November 2009. If you are considering becoming an RN, you must choose what education path you would like to take. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the three most common educational paths to becoming a registered nurse are through a bachelor degree, an associate degree or a diploma from an approved nursing program. Many colleges offer accelerated RN degree programs for licensed practical nurses wishing to advance in nursing.
