Founded in 1849, Austin is a coeducational college affiliated with the Presbyterian church. The school offers a number of bachelor's degrees and a master of arts in teaching (MAT). College of St. Thomas More

• The College of St. Thomas More in Fort Worth, Texas, is a four-year private Christian college offering a limited liberal arts education. Founded in 1981, the school offers academic programs inspired by the Roman Catholic faith. The curriculum is built on a classical European liberal arts model that emphasizes disciplines such as philosophy, theology, classical languages, literature, math and interdisciplinary studies. • Wiley College, located in Marshall, Texas, is a historically black private college founded in 1873 during the height of the Jim Crow laws in the south. Currently associated with the United Methodist Church, the school received its accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
