Founded in 1949, Lake Washington Technical College is located in Kirkland, Redmond and Duvall. As of February 2011, Lake Washington Technical College has an enrollment of more than 4,000 students spread over the three campuses. Students can choose from a variety of employment and career-related associate degrees, such as health, manufacturing and transportation technologies, and information technology.
Columbia Basin College is located in Pasco, Washington, and offers many different types of associate degrees. Columbia Basin has intercollegiate sports teams in the NWAACC. Some of the athletics programs include volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, basketball and golf. In addition to the athletics, Columbia Basin offers many extracurricular activities such as anthropology club, Japanese culture club, the small world united club, and the speech and debate club.
Seattle Community College District is an organization made up of three colleges: North Seattle Community College, Seattle Central Community College and South Seattle Community College. These colleges send many of their graduates to the University of Washington in Seattle.
Edmonds Community College is located in Lynnwood, Washington. With more than 10,000 students as of February 2011, Edmonds is one of the larger two-year colleges in the state. Edmonds students can choose from many degrees, which include an associate of arts, associate of science, associate in elementary education, associate in prenursing and associate in applied science. In addition, Edmonds College students can earn a bachelors degree from Washington State University after studying at Edmonds Community College for two years. Edmonds Community College also features intercollegiate volleyball, soccer, basketball and baseball teams that compete within the NWAACC.
