• Brevard Community College was founded in 1960. As of 2009, it had about 14,600 undergraduates. • The Florida Keys Community College was founded in 1965. The college offers 20 associate degree and certificate programs. Students can take advantage of the college's location in the Keys with its specialized programs in marine engineering, marine environmental technology, marine propulsion, diving business and technology. The college's School of Diving offers extensive facilities for the study of commercial diving, research diving, hyperbaric medicine, public safety diving and underwater photography.

The college offers Associate in Arts (AA) degrees in four areas, Associate in Science (AS) and Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees in six areas and certificate programs in seven areas. The college also offers workforce education, adult education and high school dual enrollment programs. Many Tallahassee Community College graduates continue their studies at the nearby Florida State University.
