Everest University is a community college that has not only a campus in Pompano Beach, but also has campuses through out the United States. It even offers online programs if a student does not live near one of Everest's learning centers. Students can enroll in an associate or bachelor's degree program. The school also offers master's degrees on-site and online.
City College has four locations through out Florida; one of them in Fort Lauderdale, just south of Pompano Beach. City College offers 10 associate degree and three bachelor's degree programs. The school also has a distance-learning counterpart.
Most recently known as Broward Community College, Broward College has several locations Though it is located in Fort Lauderdale, the school is still within 10 miles of the Pompano Beach area. If a student is unable to attend classes at the institution, she can take courses online. Broward has only a few bachelor's degree programs, but it offers more associate degree programs than other community colleges in the area.
Atlantic Technical Center, or ATC, is a public trade school that does not provide students with associate or bachelor's degrees. Instead, the school grants certificates and diplomas after completion. Students can pick from eight areas of study, including automotive technology and culinary arts. ATC is different from other community colleges because it also has a magnet high school. The high school was developed to train students in job-specific areas to help ensure the students' success.
