Valencia Community College, with campuses in Orlando, Kissimmee and Winter Park, offers associate in arts, associate in science and associate of applied science degrees. According to its website, VCC's graduation rate is triple the average of similar two-year institutions across the U.S. The school enrolls roughly 50,000 students each year.
Brevard Community College in Cocoa began as Brevard Junior College in 1960, and joined with the African-American school, Carver Junior College, in 1963. The school, which also has campuses in Melbourne and Titusville, is affiliated with the King Center for the Performing Arts and the Astronaut Memorial Planetarium and Observatory. It offers degrees such as associate in arts, associate in applied sciences, and associate in science as well as an applied technical diploma.
Florida State College in Jacksonville was known as Florida Community College from its inception in 1965 until 2009, when its enrollment was 81,370. The school offers associate in arts, associate in science and associate in applied science degrees, as well as bachelor's degrees in early childhood education, public safety management, information technology management and nursing, among others. FSC has the largest workforce development program in Florida.
Tallahassee Community College provides post-secondary education for residents of Leon, Wakulla and Gadsden counties, as well as some students from other parts of the state and nation. It has partnerships with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Flagler College, Saint Leo University and Barry University, and offers degrees including associate in arts, associate in applied science and associate in science. TCC has men's baseball and basketball teams, while women's athletics involve softball and basketball.
