Columbus State Community College -- in Columbus -- offers a wide range of degree programs, including many languages, health and technology majors. Degrees are granted through either the Arts and Sciences division or the Career and Technical division. St. Patrick's Church is within walking distance.
Central Ohio Technical College, located in Reynoldsburg, has four academic divisions: Public Safety; Health and Human Services; Engineering, Industrial and Business Technologies; and Arts and Sciences. Among its 23 degree programs are culinary science, drafting and science, forensic science and radiologic technology.
Lorain County Community College, located in Elyria, offers over 80 associate degree and certificate programs. In addition, LCCC partners with University College, a four-year institution that is a division of Ohio University, to offer bachelor's and master's degree programs. Students who want to take advantage of this transfer program can select an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Sciences degree, which can be customized to a more specific major at the baccalaureate level.
Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland offers hundreds of courses in a variety of subjects, including veterinary technology, Italian, sign language, general nutrition and dance. Career training in fields such as truck driving and health care is also available.
Rio Grande Community College, of Rio Grande, grants associate degrees in many subjects, including chemistry, art, health, nursing, psychology and technical studies. RGCC is part of Rio Grande University, a four-year college. Transfer programs are available to assist qualified students transition to a bachelor's degree course of study.
Owens Community College, which has campuses in Findlay and Perrysburg Township, offers an array of subjects. In addition to the traditional health, science and technology subjects, OCC also offers certificates in baking and pastry, cancer information management, tool and die making and wildlife management.
Sinclair Community College, of Dayton, has a developed arts program, including live theater, art exhibitions and musical performances. Other social and cultural events are regularly scheduled on campus, such as parenting seminars.
Lakeland Community College has five divisions: Social Science and Public Service, Science and Health, Mathematics and Engineering Technologies, Business Technologies and Arts and Humanities. This college also runs a police academy training program.
Eastern Gateway Community College offers three schools of study, business, engineering and health technologies. Also available is a transfer program, which was designed to fulfill the core requirements for bachelor's degrees at most colleges.
