Washington Community & Technical Colleges

Generally speaking, community and technical colleges are two-year schools offering associate's degrees and certificates in various fields of study. While technical colleges usually focus on vocational programs related to technical professions, community colleges tend to offer both career-focused programs and transferable degrees toward a bachelor's. Students typically opt for these schools as economic or fast-track alternatives to university, or to complete general education requirements before transferring to a four-year college. Washington State has a number of both community and technical colleges from which to choose.
