  1. Bates Technical College

    • Bates Technical College (BTC) currently serves 15,000 students on three Tacoma campuses. Ninety percent of students attend part-time. Accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, BTC is the largest public technical college in the state. BTC offers Associates of Technology degrees, certificates of competency, certificates of training, and industry certifications in areas such as accounting, cosmetology, culinary arts, database technology, dental assisting, electrical construction, fire service, practical nursing, surveying, software development, and welding. BTC also coordinates apprenticeship programs in 16 disciplines. In addition, BTC provides distance learning programs, GED preparation and testing, and job readiness training.

    Bellingham Technical College

    • Located in Bellingham, Bellingham Technical College (BTC) offers 34 Associate of Applied Science degrees and 57 certificate options. Areas of study include construction and engineering technology, culinary arts, fisheries and aquaculture, health careers, child and family studies, manufacturing and industrial technology, management, business and computer technology, and transportation and mechanical technology. BTC's Learning Center also provides classes in computer skills, study skills, and English as a Second Language. BTC currently serves over 8,100 students, most of whom attend part-time, and is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

    Lake Washington Technical Colle

    • Lake Washington Technical College (LWTC) offers training in 38 programs with over 100 degree and certificate options, including Associate of Applied Science degrees, Certificate of Proficiency, and Certificate of Completion. Programs of study include Arts, Business and Service, Health and Fitness, Information Technology, Language, Manufacturing Technologies, and Science and Transportation Technologies. LWTC also offers adult education courses, developmental education services, English as a Second Language courses, and General Education Development testing. Over 4,000 students are currently enrolled at LWTC's main Kirkland campus, as well as two satellite campuses in Duvall and Redmond.

    Renton Technical College

    • Renton Technical College (RTC) is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Located in Renton, over 15,000 students attend RTC and 70 percent of them are part-time. RTC offers over 70 full- and part-time technical and professional training programs. Program areas include automotive, business technology, construction and building technology, culinary careers, education, human services, allied health careers, manufacturing and product service, and technology. RTC helps students obtain apprenticeships in areas like carpentry, roofing, plumbing, and millwright. Basic education classes for adults pursuing GEDs or with limited English skills are also available in addition to general education courses to obtain an Associates degree and worker re-training programs.
