Laramie County Community College offers training at campuses in Cheyenne and Laramie, as well as at Warren Air Force Base and Pine Bluffs. The college has three residence halls capable of accommodating as many as 250 students. Classes are available during days and evenings as well as on weekends. Vocational programs at Laramie County Community College include surgical technology, welding, dental hygiene, automotive technology, auto body repair and fire science technology.

Wyoming Technical Institute (popularly known as \"WyoTech\") is a multi-campus career institute that includes a location in Laramie. WyoTech emphasizes training in motor vehicle maintenance, including automobiles, diesel engines, collision repair, motorcycles and marine vehicles. Students at Wyoming Technical Institute may also pursue an education in heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and electrical technology. WyoTech offers a Career Services Department that helps students secure employment through job fairs, resume assistance and resume distribution.

Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs dedicates an entire section of its college to technical and industrial education. The technology and industry portion of Western Wyoming includes career training in welding, oil and gas, electrical technology, automotive technology, industrial safety and heavy equipment maintenance. The college also offers training for students interested in careers in health care technology. Health care courses available at WWCC include both an associate degree in nursing and a practical nursing certificate program as well as radiology.
