Four-Year Technical Colleges

Although most technical schools offer only two-year associate degrees and certificates, a number of colleges have begun to include four-year degrees among their offerings. This can be a time saver for students who would rather go to one school for four years, instead of having to transfer and worry about what credits the new school will recognize.
  1. Dakota County Technical College, Rosemont, Minnesota

    • Dakota County Technical College (www.dctc.edu) offers the four-year Bachelor of Science program in three areas--Business Administration with management emphasis, Bachelor of Applied Science in Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. A partnership between the Technical College and Southwest Minnesota State University makes this ability to offer four-year degrees possible. You can complete your associate degree at DCTC while working on your Southwest Minnesota State degree at the Technical College. You may take classes on an ITV, over the Internet, or in person on a college campus--or you may perform a combination of work in a conventional classroom and on-line assignments.
