LPN Programs Near Staten Island

Aspiring licensed practical nurses (LPNs) typically attend a program at a community college in order to prepare for a career in nursing. During the program, students take general education and nursing courses, while also completing the required clinical assignments in hospitals or medical clinics. Upon completion of the program, students receive a certificate in practical nursing and are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination in Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). Staten Island is close to many community colleges affiliated with the City University of New York (CUNY) that offer LPN programs.
