Western Governors University offers an online bachelor of science degree program that is designed to prepare students for certification as a RN. Applicants must hold CPR certification and an undergraduate degree and/or prerequisite coursework in liberal arts and science, including anatomy and physiology, biochemistry and microbiology. All coursework is available through online distance education with the exception of clinical training that is performed in a professional setting. Clinical opportunities are currently available in hospitals in Southern California, Texas and Utah, with future plans to expand into additional states.
