LPN to BSN Online Programs

Licensed practical nurses typically hold associate degrees or diplomas in nursing. LPNs can apply their current credentials towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through degree completion programs. Several of these programs are offered through online distance learning, so students can continue working while upgrading their educations.
  1. Indiana State University

    • Indiana State University, in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College-Wabash Valley, offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing completion program for licensed practical or vocational nurses. Applicants must hold a current license to practice as an LPN or LVN, as well as evidence of completion of a two-year practical nursing program from an accredited, post-secondary institution. The program consists of three phases. Students must first complete foundational course work online or on campus at Ivy Tech Community College. This is followed by a series of prerequisite examinations and completion of academic coursework in nursing offered online through Indiana State University. A clinical practicum in the student's home community is also required.
