University of Phoenix offers an LPN to RN program in many states. Upon completion of the program, students earn a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree. LPNs learn advanced clinical skills and fine-tune their critical thinking abilities as their education prepares them to transition to professional nursing roles as RNs. Typically, LPNs complete the program in about one and a half to two years. LPNs who have not completed any general education credits may require more time. All lectures are offered online, and clinical rotations are arranged at hospitals and clinics near the students. The programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
