    Lake Technical Center

    • Lake Technical Center is a vocational school affiliated with Lake County School Board, which offers a practical nursing program that prepares you to take the NCLEX-PN for licensure upon graduation. Lake Tech is located in Lake County, within a reasonable 20-minute commute from Orlando. The 11-month program covers all aspects of theory and clinical areas of practical nursing. Lake Tech accepts full-time practical nursing students twice a year, March and July, and offers a part-time option as well.

    Seminole State College of Florida

    • Seminole State College of Florida offers students a certificate in practical nursing in 12 months. The program covers all aspects of practical nursing and prepares you for a career in the health care field. Prerequisites required include medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Upon graduation, the student is eligible to take the NCLEX-PN for Florida licensure. The LPN program only accepts students in January and is a limited-access program, which means students must meet general minimum standards.
