Arizona State Nursing Grants

A variety of educational grants and scholarships are available to students pursuing a nursing degree in Arizona. These are available from state nursing organizations, as well as from degree-granting nursing programs located in the state. While some scholarships are open to nursing students throughout Arizona, others are limited to nursing students attending a particular institution.
  1. Arizona Nurses Foundation Scholarships

    • The Arizona Nurses Association makes several scholarships available to Arizona nursing students through the Arizona Nurses Foundation. Arizona Nurses Foundation Scholarships are awarded in varying amounts, depending on the type of degree a student is pursuing. Students pursuing an associate's degree are eligible for support of up to $500. Students pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or a Master's of Science in Nursing are eligible for up to $1,000. Students pursuing a Ph.D. in nursing may receive grants of up to $2,500. The annual deadlines for application are March 1 and October 15.     University of Arizona Nursing Scholarships

    • The College of Nursing at the University of Arizona in Tucson offers a wide variety of scholarships to its students. The Mary Kevin Abbott Memorial Scholarship is available to a junior or senior nursing student who is at least 25 years old, who has a grade point average of at least 3.0, and who can demonstrate financial need. The Eleanor Bauwens Scholarship for Graduate Nursing Students is available to students pursuing a master's or doctoral degree who are in good academic standing. The Mary Koby Clark Scholarship in Nursing is offered to a student with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 and who comes from a family of five or more children.     Arizona State University Nursing Scholarships

    • The College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University in Phoenix offers several scholarships to its students. The Barbara Browne Connors Scholarship is available to a student who has been a registered nurse for at least a year, is a U.S. citizen, has never committed a felony, and has a grade point average of 3.0 or better. Other available scholarships include the Ella Burkhart National Merit Scholarship Endowment and Dushan Komnenich Ph.D. Scholarship. Award amounts and specific requirements vary by scholarship. The annual deadlines for ASU nursing scholarships are June 1 and November 1. Interested students should visit the ASU Web site for a full list of available nursing scholarships.
