The Foundation of National Student Nurses' Association offers the Breakthrough to Nursing Scholarship to minority students enrolled in accredited graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. The Breakthrough to Nursing Scholarship is awarded to minority nursing students in financial need and of academic merit.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing with a sponsorship from the California Endowment offers the Minority Nurse Faculty Scholarship to minority nursing students who enroll in doctoral degree or clinical master's degree programs. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing Minority Nurse Faculty Scholarship program offers $18,000 in grants to minority students that commit themselves in nursing education. Students that want to renew their scholarships can renew them for a second year. Students use the award for books, tuition fees and travel expenses to attend the annual American Association of Colleges of Nursing leadership training conference. Students must be California residents, an underrepresented minority, a United States citizen and meet other requirements for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Minority Nurse Faculty Scholarship.

Nebraska Medical Center and Clarkson College jointly sponsor a scholarship for undergraduate minority nursing students. Recipients receive $10,000 in funds per academic year up to four years. Minority nursing students may receive an additional $5,000 for successfully completing a Nebraska Medical Center internship every summer term. Recipients must meet minimum grade point average requirements and maintain full-time enrollment to continue eligibility.

MinorityNurse.com offers scholarship awards for undergraduate minority nursing students pursuing a BSN degree. Applicants must be in their junior or senior year of a bachelor's or master's degree program or an accredited BSN program. $1,000 and $3,000 scholarships are awarded to nursing students who commit themselves to nursing, academic achievement and community service.
