The Autism Society of America has provided research on autism since 1965. This program offers scholarship information for parents and students with autism. These scholarships may vary. The organization provides scholarships to individuals who have contributed to the autism community in some way; the student must receive a nomination from a member of the Autism Society of America. Scholarships include Eden Services Charles H. Hoens Jr. Scholars Program. This organization offers scholarships to autistic students who will pursue a postsecondary or trade-school degree. The Eden Services Charles H. Hoens Jr. Scholars Program offers scholarships up to $1,000 annually. Nomination from a board member of the Autism Society is also required.

The Organization for Autism Research (OAR) offers this scholarship to all diagnosed autistic students. OAR gives out three $3,000 scholarships per year, providing one award per category (four-year, two-year and trade) of school each year.

The CVS Pharmacy Charitable Trust is a private foundation scholarship offered only to autistic students. The CVS Pharmacy Charitable Trust offers $1,000 scholarships to up to five students. Recipients can spend this money at any postsecondary school (college, trade school, etc.) of their choice.

The Autism Treatment Center of America offers many scholarships for its The Son-Rise Program, a treatment program for autistic students. The Son-Rise program provides a specific driven program for people with autism. For example, the program teaches autistic students how to communicate and to build relationships that have intimacy. This program offers many scholarships for its programs, such as the Karen & Joe Gorman Ohio /ATCA Scholarship Fund, the San Francisco Bay Area Son-Rise Program Scholarship Fund, the CAARE Long Island & New York City Son-Rise Program Scholarship Fund and the Timothy Wagner Memorial Fund.
