The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in association with the American Kennel Club offers scholarships for students who are going to become veterinary technicians. These scholarships are in the amount of $1,000 per year, and students who earn them will have to reapply every year if they want to keep earning funding from this particular source. Applications will have to be filled out, and students will have to answer questions completely. Students should also include copies of their academic transcripts when applying or reapplying for these scholarships.

The Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians funds the Laurie Page-Peck scholarship, which is awarded to deserving students who show an interest in becoming zoo veterinary technicians. Those who participate must develop a scientific paper for presentation at the organization's annual conference, and the winner or winners will have their papers published. These scholarships are in the amount of $1,000. Students will also have to include their transcripts as well as the proper application form, which should be submitted by the date given by the organization.

Oxbow Animal Health also offers veterinary technician scholarships. Two scholarships are offered by this organization to veterinary technology students who "show a strong interest in pursuing a career in small and exotic animal medicine." These scholarships are in the amount of $500, which will be paid directly to the winners' schools in September of the fall semester. Applications must be filled out and all questions answered. These applications should be postmarked no later than March 9, and the winners will be advised in writing by May 9.
