One of the giants in the healthcare industry, Tylenol offers scholarships annually to college students--up to $10,000 per scholarship. This scholarship program has been running since 1992, and according to Tylenol there is roughly $250,000 available for college students who are going into, or who are already in, a major related to the healthcare field. Students may reapply for this scholarship every year, and it's based on leadership and performance rather than on a student's strict financial need. This scholarship isn't available for graduate studies, but only for those students who are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
For those students who reside in the Fairview Lakes Health Region (from Pine City to Hugo, Wisconsin) there are Auxiliary scholarships available if the student is entering a medical field. These scholarships will be awarded based on financial need, exposure to and experience in the healthcare field, as well as previous academic performance. The scholarships are awarded in amounts of up to $1,000. There are 19 separate scholarships, and by applying for any of them, applicants' credentials will be matched to all of the scholarships they may qualify for.
The Southern California University of Health Services has a number of scholarships available to attending students. For instance, the Lois E. Maylon Drake Scholarship is available to students who are attending the university, have a GPA of 2.5 of higher and can show a financial need for scholarship funding. Additionally, the student must be actively contributing to the chiropractic profession. This is just one of dozens of scholarships available through SCUHS; further details are available through the financial aid office.
