Each year the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) grants five scholarships. The awards are for $2,500 and are given to both undergraduates and master's-level students in accounting, finance or information systems. Graduate students must be enrolled for at least nine credits of study per semester and must have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher during previous college studies. Applicants must also not be Certified Public Accountants. AICPA student membership is also required for consideration and involves paying an annual fee. Applications are available online and are typically due in April each year. Awards are given out in August and paid directly to the winners' respective universities.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada grants an annual Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship. The awards are available to United States or Canadian citizens who are Black, American Indian, an Alaskan native, Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino. Applicants must also be an upper-level undergraduate or a graduate student, majoring in public administration, accounting, finance, political science, economics or business administration. A letter of recommendation from an academic adviser or graduate program dean is also necessary. The application is available online. Deadlines vary each year.

Each year, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Foundation grants 15 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers as auditors or fraud examiners. To be considered, students must submit an official transcript from their current academic program as well as three letters of recommendation from educators or professionals in the field. Additionally, students must compose an original essay detailing their career goals. To qualify, applicants must be full-time graduate students taking nine credits or more each semester. Applications are available online and have a January deadline. The winners are announced in April.
