Grants for Accounting Graduate Students

There are several graduate accounting scholarships and grants available for every type of student. They are available through corporations, schools, charitable organizations, nonprofit organizations and private donors. Students who are financially needy, nontraditional and academically successful are encouraged to apply for all scholarships, as they are available for almost everyone out there. There are also grants available for traditional, average students.
  1. ASWA Member Scholarship

    • The ASWA Member Scholarship is offered to members and current undergraduate or graduate students by the American Society of Women Accountants. To qualify, you must be female, attending an accredited college or university full- or part-time and must be pursuing a degree in accounting. The award amount is between $1,000 and $5,000.

    NSA Scholarship

    • The NSA Scholarship is awarded to 28 accounting undergraduate and graduate students by the National Society of Accountants. To qualify, students must excel academically, demonstrate financial need and possess leadership potential. The award amount is $2,000.

    ALPFA Scholarship

    • The ALPFA Scholarship is offered to students by the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting in partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. To qualify, you must be of Hispanic origin; be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting or business; demonstrate financial need; and have a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. The award amount is between $1,000 and $3,000.

    Women in Need Scholarship

    • The Women in Need Scholarship is offered by the Educational Foundation For Women In Accounting to a deserving female accounting undergraduate or graduate student. To qualify, students must demonstrate financial hardship, be accomplished academically and professionally and write an essay outlining their commitment to accounting and their intention to work as an accountant upon graduation. The award amount is $2,000 per academic year.
