• Scholarships.com, a website designed to help students find scholarship money for colleges, offers a grant money to students enrolled in any area of study that is related to health, including students pursuing certification as pharmacy technicians. The scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1,000. In order to be eligible, a student must be a citizen of the United States, a registered user of the Scholarships.com website, and a current undergraduate or graduating high school senior planning to enroll in a pharmacy technician program next fall. NCPA J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship

• The National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) provides annual scholarship money to students pursuing certification as a pharmacy technician through the J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship. This educational grant is awarded in the amount of $2,500, and is non-renewable. Award money is disbursed directly to the scholarship recipient. To be eligible, a student must be registered full-time in a program of study related to pharmacy, and must also be a student member of the NCPA. Students will be judged on the basis of their academic record, leadership qualities and interest in government affairs. The annual deadline for application is March 16. APhA Foundation Student Pharmacist Scholarship Program

• The American Pharmacists Association Foundation makes grant money available to pharmacy tech students every year through the APhA Student Pharmacist Scholarship Program. Ten scholarships are awarded annually in the amount of $1,000 each. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled full-time as a pharmacy student, and must also be an active member of his or her local APhA student chapter. Students must also have completed at least one year of schooling and be carrying a cumulative grade-point average of 2.75 or above. The annual deadline for application is Dec. 1.
