Applicants must be full-time students going into one year at a four-year college; this means that high school seniors enrolling in their freshman years at a four-year college or university can be considered for this scholarship. Applicants are also required to be legal citizens of the United States and practicing Muslims. Students who wish to apply will have to fill out the application form and provide transcripts, test scores and a sample essay, and will undergo a financial need analysis.
The Fadel Educational Foundation is devoted to assisting Muslim students who are also citizens of the United States. According to the foundation's website, this company has given more than $600,000 in grants to American Muslims since its inception in 1992, and continues to encourage American Muslims to pursue higher education.
FEF grants are awarded on a need-based and merit-based system; those who need the money and those who show proficient academic performance receive the awards. Students can receive up to $3,000 toward higher education.
The Islamic Scholarship Fund offers grants and funding to Muslims who are legal citizens of the United States to pursue goals in higher education. Student pursuing undergraduate or graduate work in the humanities, social sciences, liberal arts or law are eligible to apply for a scholarship ranging in value from $1,000 to $10,000
The Islamic Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to Muslim students who are citizens of the United States and have been accepted to a four-year college or university to pursue one of the above content areas. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.4, and are encouraged to be active members in their communities.
