These scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,000 and are based purely on random drawings rather than GPA or financial need. In the 2009-2010 school year, winners were chosen at random every two weeks from October through May, for a total of 15 winners. To be eligible, a student must be a high school senior planning to enroll in college or career school and must be a United States citizen. Scholarship funds are disbursed to the institution of higher learning. Applicants must submit entry forms by mail.
