The Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship is offered to a female, non-traditional student. Applicants must be 35 or older; a U.S. citizen; be enrolled in a degree-seeking associate's, bachelor's or master's program; and meet financial guidelines. Students also have to write an essay on any trials or hardships they have faced as an older woman returning to school. The award amount ranges between $1,000 and $3,000.

Applicants must have at least one dependent, minor child; must have thoughtful and realistic career and educational goals; and must demonstrate financial need.
