Each year, the Montana Board of Regents approves approximately $1 million in Montana Indian Fee Waivers. Qualifications for the award are divided into three basic areas: residency in Montana, financial need, and documentation of at least one-quarter Indian descent. These fee waivers cover the cost of tuition at any college within the Montana University System. Indian Fee Waiver students need to apply at the Financial Aid Office of the school they plan to attend. General information is available from the Office of Financial Aid at Montana State University at Bozeman.
