School Housing Grants

Paying for classes is only part of the battle when it comes to finding the money to pay for college. Unfortunately, paying for housing can be just as costly. The fact that most scholarships can only be used to pay the cost of tuition only compounds the problem. However, there are educational grants and scholarships that may be used to defray the cost of room and board.
  1. Boettcher Foundation: Scholarships

    • The Boettcher Foundation provides school housing grants to graduating high school seniors in Colorado through its scholarship program. Boettcher Foundation Scholarships pay for the full cost of a student's undergraduate tuition for four years, and also provide an annual stipend of $2,800 to help a student to pay for room and board. To be eligible, a student must be a resident of Colorado and a citizen of the United States, and must be in the top 5 percent of their graduating class. In addition, a student must have scored either a composite score of 27 on the ACT, or a combined score of at least 1200 on the SAT. Interested students should visit the Boettcher Foundation website for complete program information.
