The Automotive Hall of Fame grants more than $20,000 in scholarships each year to students interested in studying for an automotive career. Applicants must enroll in an accredited college, university or trade school in the United States, be full-time students and maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average. Recipients also must be U.S. citizens or possess a student visa.

The Automotive Service Councils of California's nonprofit educational foundation awards annual scholarships to high school seniors in California who intend to study automotive-related careers, as well as California college undergraduate students in the automotive service field. Scholarship amounts range from $500 to $1,000, and nine scholarships are available in 2011. Funds can pay for tuition and books.

The Automotive Parts and Service Association of Illinois provides Ralph Silverman Memorial Foundation Scholarships to students in Illinois who intend to pursue careers in the automotive aftermarket field, which includes replacement parts and repair services purchased for vehicles after the original sale. High school graduates are eligible to apply if they have gained written sponsorship from an association member, are legal residents of Illinois and will be full-time students in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
