Automotive Design Scholarships

Automotive designers conceive the visual appearance of vehicles, including exterior and interior elements. A bachelor’s degree program in automotive design teaches students about styling, ergonomics and creating three-dimensional design models. Automotive design students can seek scholarships from several organizations.
  1. Chrysler Corporation Fund Scholarship

    • The University of Cincinnati awards the annual Chrysler Corporation Fund Scholarship to students in the transportation track of the school’s industrial design program. Applicants must be college juniors and full-time students with a minimum 3.2 GPA. Application requirements include a resume and design portfolio samples. Award amounts vary.

    Automotive Hall of Fame Scholarship

    • Automotive design students are eligible for one of the more than $20,000 in scholarships the Automotive Hall of Fame grants each year. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or have a student visa, attend school full time and have a minimum 3.0 GPA at an accredited college, university or trade school in the United States.

    Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation Scholarship

    • The Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation provides scholarships four times annually to women who plan to enter the automotive field after college graduation. Automotive design students are eligible to apply if they maintain a 3.0 GPA and submit an application, resume, transcript and letter explaining their career goals. Award amounts vary.
