Scholarships in Veterinary Technology

Veterinary technicians have training in animal care and handling, and they work with licensed veterinarians to provide diagnostic, medical and surgical care to animals. Veterinary technology training programs lead to an associate or bachelor’s degree and require up to four years to complete. Students can apply for scholarships from several organizations to help pay for veterinary technology education.
  1. American Kennel Club Veterinary Technician Student Scholarships

    • The American Kennel Club, in cooperation with Bayer K-9 Advantix and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), offers annual scholarships for veterinary technology students. Applicants must be members of NAVTA and be full-time students in a veterinary technician school accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Award criteria include the applicant’s academic achievement, activities in small animal research and work with NAVTA. Award amounts vary.
