Scholarships for Surgical Technology

Surgical technologists are those who assist in surgical operations. A team of surgeons, registered nurses and surgical personnel guide them. Surgical technologists also work with circulating nurses and anesthesiologists. They have the responsibility of setting up an operating room by preparing surgical instruments, equipment and sterile solutions. Those entering the field need either a certificate or associate's degree, along with certification. Scholarships can help pay for the costly expenses related to an education in surgical technology.
