The Georgia Teen Mother Scholarship is offered by two families who "feel that teen mothers need additional support beyond high school," so that they might become college graduates able to better provide for their children. The award is worth $2,000, which is paid directly to the recipient's school, be it a university or technical school. To qualify, applicants must have given birth by January 31st of their senior year in high school, though GED recipients are also eligible.

Single teen moms can apply for the Scholarship For Continuing Education. Offered by Raise the Nation, an organization assisting single mothers to attend college and repay their student debts, the award was established to help single moms because many "are denied...assistance unless they are living in crisis and poverty and are forced to borrow money for tuition and living expenses," according to the foundation website. To qualify, applicants must be single mothers attending or accepted into a post-secondary program.

Teen mothers, 17 and older, can apply for a scholarship from the Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation. The scholarship is named after one of the first woman of color to serve on the U.S. House of Representatives, and seeks to promote her dedication to "educational access, support, and opportunity for low-income women, especially mothers," and is worth $2,000. Applicants must meet income requirements to qualify and the scholarship can be used for trade school, ESL, undergrad or graduate studies.
