Grants for EMT Training

Emergency medical technicians, or EMTs, care for victims of auto accidents and other emergencies while transporting patients to the hospital. They must possess broad medical knowledge to assess and treat a variety of cases. EMT training programs require up to two years to complete and typically result in an associate degree, preparing graduates for certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Several organizations offer grants to defray the cost of EMT training.
  1. National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians Scholarship

    • The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians awards scholarships several times a year to members of the organization who are pursuing EMT training. Awards range from $500 to $5,000 depending on the level of EMT certification the recipient seeks. Selection criteria include financial need and dedication to the profession and community, as well as service as an ambassador for NAEMT.
