NAEMT Scholarship Program

• The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians provides scholarship assistance to emergency responders who wish to advance their EMT training. The NAEMT Scholarship Program provides up to $500 for an emergency responder training to become an EMT-Basic, up to $5,000 for an EMT-Basic who is training to become an EMT-Paramedic, and up to $2,000 for EMT-Paramedics who wish to advance their emergency training. In order to be eligible, an applicant must be a paid member of NAEMT. The annual deadlines for application are June 15 and September 15. Michael J. Latta EMS Scholarship Foundation

• The Michael J. Latta EMS Scholarship Foundation provides financial assistance to students who are training to become Emergency Medical Technicians. These scholarships are awarded in varying amounts according to need and available funds. Applicants are judged on the basis of their work ethic, dedication, energy and enthusiasm, as well as their record of community service and why they desire to become an EMT. Bound Tree Medical Legacy Scholarship Program

• Bound Tree Medical provides scholarship assistance to qualified individuals pursuing EMT certification through the Bound Tree Medical Legacy Scholarship Program. Legacy Scholarships pay for 50% of a student's program, up to $500 for coursework leading to an EMT-Basic certification, or up to $2500 for coursework leading to an intermediate or paramedic EMT certification. In order to be eligible, an applicant must be the son or daughter of a volunteer firefighter or EMT who is currently active, retired, or deceased. Grandchildren of volunteer firefighters or EMTs may be considered if their grandparent was ever their primary caregiver. Current EMTs taking EMT refresher courses are not eligible.
