Grants for a Medical Assistant

Medical assistants carry out clinical and administrative roles, such as recording patients' vital signs and medical histories, in doctor's offices and other health care settings. Candidates with formal education have an advantage in the field. Certificate and degree programs in medical assisting are available at vocational and technical schools and community colleges. Several professional associations and schools offer grants and scholarships to defray the cost of medical assistant training.
