School Grants for Hispanic Women

According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, the high school dropout rate for Hispanics in 2007 was 21 percent. At the yearly Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities conference, attendees discuss the many problems Hispanic students face, from finances to accessing proper school information. For Latinas the challenges are worse as more than 40 percent of Latina students do not complete high school. However, colleges, nonprofit organizations and women's groups offer many grants to help them afford higher education.
