The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) provides more grant and scholarship opportunities for Latinos than any other organization in the nation. Founded in 1975, the HSF has awarded over $300 million in financial aid to over 100,000 students as of 2010. There are literally hundreds of available scholarships given out by the HSF every year. HSF provides tuition assistance to Latino high school graduates, community college students who wish to transfer to four-year universities, currently enrolled undergraduates and Latino students in graduate or professional programs. To be eligible you must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average, be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident, apply for FAFSA and plan to enroll full-time while pursuing your first undergraduate or graduate degree.

The National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) was founded in 1975 with the purpose of improving the quality of health care for the Hispanic community and fostering professional and educational opportunities for Hispanic nurses. NAHN is committed toward recruiting and retaining Hispanic students in nursing programs through grant and scholarship programs. NAHN awards the Avanzamos con Ayuda de United Health Scholarship as well as the NAHN $1,000 Scholarship to several recipients on a yearly basis.

The Hispanic College Fund (HCF) is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to Hispanic high school and college students. The HCF primarily provides funds to students interested in studying business, science, technology, engineering and math. HCF scholarships are arranged by majors and each have a specific set of criteria, but in general applicants must have a 3.0 grade point average, be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and be attending college full-time as an undergraduate. In 2009, the HCF awarded around $3 million in scholarships to nearly 600 students nationwide.
