The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) sponsors a number of scholarship awards to female undergraduates who are enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering programs. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $10,000 and are available for students at every stage of undergraduate study and across all engineering majors. Eligibility criteria varies for each award.

The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship provides awards of $10,000 to women undergraduates who demonstrate academic excellence in the fields of computer science or computer engineering. Applicants are selected on the basis of academic merit and leadership skills. The program is open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents and international students. Applications are accepted online only and students must submit electronic versions of their resume, transcripts and reference contact information.

The Women in Defense HORIZONS Scholarship is available to women undergraduates in their junior year, who plan to pursue a career in national defense or security. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, letters of recommendation and a personal statement of career goals as they relate to national security and defense. Priority is given to women who are pursuing degrees in security studies, engineering, computer science, mathematics, business, law, international relations, political science, and economics. Annual award amounts vary.

The Talbots Charitable Foundation sponsors a scholarship program for nontraditional women students who are pursuing college degrees later in life. Applicants must have earned their high school diploma or GED at least 10 years prior to applying and be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in an accredited two or four-year undergraduate program. Approximately ten $15,000 scholarships are awarded annually and one selected finalist will receive the $30,000 Nancy Talbot Scholarship Award.

The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship provides awards of $1,000 to $5,000 for undergraduate women who are pursuing degrees in business. Female students of any nationality may apply as long as they are enrolled in their second year or higher at an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants are selected on the basis of academic merit, letters of recommendation and commitment to a career in business. Application materials must be submitted through local Zonta chapters.
